WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT AND WHY WE COLLECT IT
While you visit our site, we’ll track:
- Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed.
- Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes.
- We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.
When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number and credit card/payment details. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:
- Send you information about your account and order
- Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
- Improve our store offerings
- Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them
We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. This includes your name, email address and billing address.
We will also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them.
EMAILS
When you place an order on our shop, the dispatch of emails is triggered. They contain information about you associated with your email address. Which data are part of these emails depends on the action performed. These emails are stored and accessible to the site management as log.
We send the following categories of email after a purchase:
- Order and account emails. Order confirmation, invoice, licence key and download information.
- Software update notices. We may email you when a new version, bug fix or compatibility update is released for a product you have purchased. These notices concern only the products you own.
- Review reminders. After your purchase we may invite you by email to leave a review of the product you bought. We send a maximum of two such emails: a first reminder some time after your purchase, and a single follow-up if you have not responded. No further reminders are sent.
Every software update notice and every review reminder contains an unsubscribe link. One click removes you from that category of email permanently. You can also write to hello@anemond.net at any time to be removed from update notices, review reminders, or both. Opting out does not affect the order and account emails described above, which remain necessary to fulfil your order.
Promotional messages, product announcements and offers are sent only to people who have subscribed to our newsletter, and are covered by the NEWSLETTER section below.
PAYMENTS
We accept payments through PayPal and Stripe. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal and Stripe, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

NEWSLETTER
Anemond uses MailChimp as newsletter and marketing automation platform. By subscribing to our newsletter, you acknowledge that the information you provide will be transferred to MailChimp for processing in accordance with their Terms and Conditions and their Privacy Policy.
Based on tools analysis provided by Mailchimp, Anemond may see if and when an e-mail was opened by a data subject, and which links in the e-mail were called up by data subjects. Anemond will use these data and statistics in order to optimize the shipping of the newsletter, as well as to adapt the content of future newsletters even better to the interests of the data subject.
Every newsletter email contains an unsubscribe link. One click removes you from the newsletter permanently. You can also write to hello@anemond.net at any time to be removed from the newsletter.
REVIEWS
When visitors leave reviews on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
COOKIES
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. This site uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party tracking.
Most of these are deleted when you close your browser. The ones that persist do so only for as long as needed for the purpose described above.
If you would still prefer to block or delete cookies, you can do so in your browser settings — consult the Help section of your browser for instructions. Please note that blocking cookies on this site will prevent the shopping cart and login from working.
Payment providers. When you reach the checkout, our payment providers (PayPal and Stripe) may set their own cookies on that page.
